Accessibility Services
Two River Theater Company seeks to create an audience that will learn to cherish the experience of theatre as an intimate one that is enriched and deepened to the extent it is shared with a community of others from varying backgrounds, experience and needs. The Company is dedicated to providing equal access to all its constituencies, no matter what their special needs may be.
Two River Theater Company does not discriminate on the basis of disability in admission or access to our programs, services, or activities. No person with disabilities will be denied access to our work, and when necessary, accommodations will be made to allow the fullest level of participation possible.
The theater provides barrier-free access for patrons using wheelchairs or walkers. On-grade entrances, elevators, railings, and wide doorways allow people easy access to all theater spaces. Designated parking spaces are conveniently located in our parking lot at the rear of our building. An accessible unisex restroom is available on our Parterre level, as well as wider stalls with assistive bars in our mens’ and ladies’ restrooms in our lobby.
There is integrated seating for patrons in wheelchairs. Please inform the box office, (732) 345-1400, of your needs when ordering tickets.
Patrons with mobility-impairments who do not have access to a wheelchair may request a wheelchair to transport the individual to their seat. You can inform us of your needs prior to the performance by calling the box office, (732) 345-1400, or stopping by the box office when entering.
Patrons wishing to transfer from a wheelchair to a seat can request to have their wheelchair stored during the performance. Please inform the staff if you will need assistance during intermission. A staff member will return your wheelchair to you at the end of the performance.
Assistive Listening Devices are available for inviduals with hearing loss, for all performances, to assist with amplification and clarity. Patrons wear a lightweight headset, with no wires or cables, which operate with an infra-red system. Please stop by the box office upon your arrival to request a headset. We ask that you leave a credit card or driver’s license as collateral. There is no charge for this service.
Large print programs are available at the box office.
Scheduled audio description performances for patrons with vision loss are offered for each of our subscription series productions. Using a lightweight headset, with no wires or cables, which operate with an infra-red system, patrons can hear a live, objective, and concise description of the action on stage. Headests are available at the box office, and we ask that you leave a credit card or driver’s license as collateral. Discount tickets are $15 and are available to patrons benefiting from this service.
