Props Supervisor
Two River Theater Company, a mid-sized professional theater one hour from New York City, is seeking a Properties Supervisor to join its full time production staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Collaborating with scenic designers and technical director to identify, shop for, rent and/or build properties, pull rehearsal props as requested by stage manager and director; maintain show properties during the run including purchasing show running needs; and managing the theater’s props inventory. Qualifications include previous experience with properties design, construction, and shopping; understanding of and the ability to communicate design concepts; experience with budgeting materials and labor and the ability to manage over-hire crew, interns and volunteers; valid driver's license and the ability to drive a cargo van. Director of Marketing & Communications
Two River Theater Company, home to a state-of-the-art, non-profit, Actor’s Equity two-theater complex in Red Bank, New Jersey, is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Director of Marketing & Communications. Under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, the theater produces an eight play season, with a commitment to the creation of new plays and musicals through a year-round series of developmental readings and workshops. The theater also offers numerous education programs (both at the theater and in schools), audience-engagement initiatives, and community outreach.
This position is responsible for the leadership of the Marketing Department, all earned revenue goals, audience building and organizational communications. The Director of Marketing and Communications reports to the Managing Director and is a member of Two River Theater’s senior management team and works closely with the Artistic Director, Executive Producer, Board President and Board Committees.
Responsibilities:
• Create and implement strategy for earned revenue including subscriptions, single ticket and group sales, program advertising, concessions, merchandise etc.
• Develop all pricing, packaging, and discounting strategies.
• Conduct audience research and surveying.
• Supervise all customer service touch points.
• Shape all organizational messaging in collaboration with all departments to insure consistency of institutional messaging.
• Create a Communication/PR strategy for individual productions, overall institutional position, education program, new play/musical development and other institutional initiatives.
• Responsible for all local, regional and national media relations.
• Supervise a staff of three and provide oversight for box office and front of house.
• Monitor and report regularly on the progress of the marketing and communications program at Board meetings.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of professional marketing experience in a leadership role.
• Theatrical industry experience is preferred.
• Be a highly creative and strategic thinker with a proven track-record in creating and executing campaigns that generate sales and maximize return on investment.
• Possess a strong point of view about how to market productions and effectively share that strategy with the staff and Board.
• Understand consumer buying behavior and dynamics.
• Implement customer/market research and data analysis in decision-making.
• Media relations on both local and national levels.
• Have a strong understanding of electronic and social media.
• Be able to align, enhance, and manage a brand across multiple channels.
• Possess exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Effectively manage and develop a staff.
• Exhibit a creative, collegial, and collaborative work style and a close attention to detail.

Maintain our volunteer database, manage concessions inventory, and help Front of House Manager with house management responsibilities during performances.
