Two star-crossed young lovers – Genevieve, a shop assistant and Guy, a garage mechanic – are torn apart when Guy is drafted into military service. Love and innocence are put to the test in the face of societal and economic pressures, until a painful decision irrevocably changes everything.

This bittersweet romance, based on the acclaimed 1964 French film starring Catherine Deneuve, has an enchanting and haunting jazz score by Michel Legrand, featuring the hit song “(If It Takes Forever) I Will Wait for You.” Featuring Two River company member, Maureen Silliman.
