Two River Theatre Company has a statewide reputation for producing professional theatre that is entertaining and unafraid, and this season TRTC is offering something for almost everyone on that ever-expanding shopping list. In January, Broadway veteran and TRTC board member, Maureen Silliman returns to Monmouth County in the Tony Award winning play The Beauty Queen of Leenane. This powerful Irish drama, written by Michael McDonagh, blends hysterical comedy with grand melodrama, and will be playing January 20, - February 6, at The Algonquin Arts Theatre in Manasquan.

Next up is the beautiful and touching Obie award winner - The Syringa Tree. Set in apartheid South Africa, The Syringa Tree is the story of an abiding love between two families, one black and one white, through four generations. One actress portrays all twenty-four characters in this tour-de-force theatrical event, opening on March 24, 2005 at The Algonquin Arts Theatre in Manasquan and running through April 10.

The action moves to Red Bank in May when Two River Theatre Company opens their new state-of-the-art theatre complex with the classic American comedy, You Can’t Take it With You. Written by Broadway legends Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman, this inspired and giddy confection of romance and lunacy, is one of the twentieth century’s wittiest and most charming plays.  No one who has been watching construction of the new Two River Theatre across from the Galleria will want to miss out on being a part of the premier production in Red Bank’s hottest new building.  You Can’t Take it With You opens on May 7, 2005 and runs through May 22.

For a complete production schedule, or to order tickets or gift certificates, shoppers can visit Two River Theatre Company’s box office at 223 Maple Avenue in Red Bank, just north of Bergen Street. Tickets are also available by phone at 732-345-1400, or on the web at www.trtc.org.
