Two River Theater Company is currently looking to fill the following staff positions and internship opportunities:

Teaching Artists

TRTC is always looking for talented and committed Teaching Artists for various projects and workshops throughout the season. TAs need patience, a good sense of humor, intelligence and a sincere desire to inspire and make a difference. Applicants should have extensive experience teaching theater to grades 1-12. CAREER DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES:

Assistant Directors

Seeking early-career directors with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and professionalism. The position includes some dramaturgical work, taking notes for the director, and other duties dependant on the needs of the production. Stipend provided. Directing experience required. Transportation and housing not included. Production Dramaturgs

Seeking early-career theater artists with strong research, writing and computer skills. Dramaturg will create the study guide, lobby exhibit and program notes for one of the productions in our 2007-2008 season. Stipend provided.Transportation and housing not included. INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES: Duration of internships vary.

Front of House: Seeking a friendly individual with good organizational and interpersonal skills.Train volunteer ushers and maintain our volunteer database. Must have the ability to work with a team and complete projects independently. Send letter of interest to Brian Sellers at bsellers@trtc.org.

 

Photography: Photograph events, productions, and classes. An excellent opportunity for photography majors or those with an interest in photojournalism. Schedule will be sporadic. Send cover letter, resume, and portfolio to Jayme Powers at jpowers@trtc.org.

 

Development: Seeking an individual with strong organizational skills, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and database programs. Customer service/telephone experience a plus. July and August. Send cover letter, resume and personal statement about working at the theater/non-profit organization to Betsy Sobo at esobo@trtc.org.

 

Facilities Management:  Assist in the day-to-day functioning of a state-of-the-art building; learn principles of operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems; assist in inspection and upkeep of the physical plant; communicate with contractors and vendors; engage in scheduling staff and service providers. Seeking an individual with strong organizational and communication skills. An interest in technical/engineering matters is essential. Box Office: Gain experience in customer service and Theater Manager Ticketing Software. Must be detail oriented and possess strong computer and typing skills. Company Management: Be involved in the day-to-day action of a professional creative team, assisting with accommodations and hospitality for visiting artists. Must possess an eagerness to learn about the inner-workings of a professional theater, time management and organizational skills, as well as a great attitude.
