New Theater
Our New Home in Red Bank

wo River Theater Company has always been resourceful, creative and innovative. Having never had a home of our own, weve had to create spectacular theatre in borrowed spaces. Now, after years of planning, the foundation of our new theatre has been poured, the steel frame is plumb and secure, the walls have risen, the seats are installed and our vision of a dynamic community arts center is a reality.
Located on the west side of Red Bank, across from The Galleria, the property is centrally placed within the region, easy to reach by car or train and large enough for us to build a spacious, unique and fully accessible production space. The world-renowned architectural firm of H3 (formerly Hardy, Holzman and Pfeiffer) designed the new theater. Like their other well-known buildings, including the Wilma Theater in Philadelphia and the Harvey Theater at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Two River Theater is already an instant landmark and a prestigious addition to the architecture of Monmouth County.

| The new Two River Theater is a state-of-the-art performance space designed to meet the needs of our audience, our artists and our community. The main theater seats 350 people and will be the home to our main stage season. Centered around a thrust stage, the furthest seats will be no more than 36 feet from the performers. The relatively small size of our house sets us apart from the larger venues in our area, such as the Count Basie Theatre and The Pollack Theatre at Monmouth University. The new facility also includes the 99-seat Marion Huber Theater, that will host more experimental works, readings, classes, and rehearsals. By inviting our audience into these intimate spaces we invite them to share more deeply in the experience, to participate more actively in the art and to feel more engaged with their fellow theatergoers. |
