TEACHERS ARE TALKING
about TRTC’s
Professional Development Workshops:
It was one of the best workshops I’ve ever attended in my six year career that’s been filled with them! Aaron’s sense of humor and wit helped make the overall experience enjoyable.
- Kristine Corblies, Teacher, Brick Township High School
I would recommend this workshop (or any others, unseen) to colleagues, because hearing from an English/Drama person with so much professional experience always informs our choices and approaches in the classroom.
- William Smith, Supervisor of English, Red Bank Regional High School
Join us for the final workshop of the season!

The Heroes Project
The Heroes Project is Two River Theater Companys artist-in-residence program. Over 8-10 weeks, selected students create an original performance piece based on and inspired by their heroes. Guided by TRTCs teaching artists, The Heroes Project will culminate with two performances either at the school or in the black blox theater at Two River Theater. Each performance piece is unique, as it is shaped by its participants.
Pilot programs of The Heroes Project were launched in January-February of 2006 at Long Branch High School and September-December at Henry Hudson Regional High School. The students learned about heroes through history by conducting interviews and research. They learned how to write and edit monologues and scenes, create dance and movement pieces, perform songs and generally learn to express themselves in an incredibly supportive and challenging environment.
Because Two River Theater Company is committed to offering this kind of program to financially disadvant-aged schools, The Heroes Project is completely grant-funded and costs the participating school nothing at all.
For more information on how to bring The Heroes Project to your school, please contact Kate Cordaro, TRTC's Director of Education at 732.345.1400 ext 814 or katecordaro@trtc.org.
Education Outreach

Teaching artists visit area schools at no cost. These visits can include theater games, movement exercises, and workshops tailored to the teachers needs. Teaching artists have been sent to several schools for 1-3 visits per school.
